UV light tester (UV meter) is designed to measure uv energy and uv light radiation intensity. Due to that the spectral response of the LED and low pressure mercury lamp (254nm germicidal lamp)  is different, the two different uv light sources need to be measured using dedicated UV light meter. But some people would still ask what's the difference between the UV meters for LEDs and low pressure mercury lamps. 2. Is UV sterilization effective for viruses?

In order to achieve a good sterilization effect, it is necessary to purchase a germicidal lamp whose irradiation intensity reaches the qualified range. When used for a period of time, the luminous intensity of the germicidal lamp is attenuated, then its irradiation effect will be greatly reduced. UV light testers are needed for the germicidal lamp intensity measurement.

Two major differences can be seen from the parameters in the table:

  1. The first three LS126C, UVC-X0,UVC-WP UV light testers are designed for traditional 254nm low-pressure mercury lamp germicidal lamps, while UVCLED is designed for LED germicidal lamps.

  2. The UVC intensity measuring range of the LS126C UV light tester is smaller than the other three models. If you need to measure high-power germicidal lamps,the latter three are recommended.

4. Where are UV light testers used?

  1. LS126C UV light tester is suitable for the intensity detection of UV germicidal lamps in hospitals, disease control centers, transmission windows and other occasions. It is provided with a 1-meter measuring hook. The instrument can be connected to mobile phone via Bluetooth to avoid ultraviolet rays from burning the test personnel. Suitable for germicidal lamps of low-pressure mercury lamp type.

  2. LS125 UV light tester host + UVC-X0 is a wide range ultraviolet intensity measurement tool, suitable for UV intensity measurement of high-power germicidal lamps such as water treatment. Suitable for germicidal lamps of low-pressure mercury lamp type.
