Factors Influencing the Gloss of Plate Spray Paint
Influencing factors of glossiness of plate spray paint
In order to improve the appearance quality of the board, the paint gloss of the board is required. However, many factors such as the flatness of the object surface, the quality of the paint and the spraying process will affect the gloss of the board after painting.
1. Substrate
The smoothness of the painted plate surface has a great influence on the gloss after painting. If the surface of the board is uneven and there are too many pores, the gloss of the board will be reduced after painting.
2. Spray paint quality
The gloss of different paints is different and the spraying effect of using high-gloss paint and matte paint is different.
3.Spraying process
When spraying, due to the different spraying rates and different fixing efficiency, the plate surface thickness is uneven, which affects the gloss.
Testing method for gloss of painted panels
In order to accurately evaluate the gloss of the paint sprayed on the board, a gloss meter can be used for testing. The gloss of the plate painted surface refers to the reflection degree of the surface to visible light. It is a physical quantity that evaluates the ability to reflect light on the painted surface of the plate under the specified geometric conditions and has direction selectivity. At present, the gloss meter on the market is basically a relative measurement of the specular gloss.
Linshang LS192 gloss meter, a 60-degree angle light source is projected. The gloss meter is placed on the painted surface of the plate during measurement. Based on the light source and receiver opening angle conditions, the reflected light flux of the painted surface of the plate in the specular reflection direction and the glass standard in the specular reflection direction. The ratio of the reflected light luminous flux is converted into data by electronic calculation and displayed on the LCD screen of the instrument. The display interface of the LS192 gloss meter has a statistical function, which can display the maximum, minimum, average and standard deviation values of the test. This function can be used to analyze the uniformity of the surface gloss of the painted panel.
