Bluetooth Coating Thickness Gauge Test Lexus GX460 Paint Surface Thickness

The Bluetooth coating thickness gauge adds Bluetooth data transmission function to the ordinary coating thickness gauge.     This time, we used a second-hand Lexus GX460 as an example to measure the paint thickness at different positions of the car using a Bluetooth coating thickness gauge. And then we can analyze whether the used car was repainted or sheet metal repaired.

The above picture shows the used Lexus GX460. We used the Bluetooth coating thickness gauge LS220B to measure the following 17 positions of the used car: the roof, the engine compartment cover, the left front fender, the left A-pillar, Left front door, left B-pillar, left rear door, left C-pillar, left rear fender, trunk lid, right rear fender, right C-pillar, right rear door, right B-pillar, right front door, right A-pillar, Right front fender. The average thickness of the paint film on the engine compartment cover, the left front fender, the left front door, the left rear door, the trunk lid and the right rear door is slightly higher than the average paint thickness of the roof. The car has been subjected to some scratches and repainting. It is inevitable that the car is scratched during use, which is a common phenomenon in used cars.
     However, when measuring the left rear fender, the average thickness of the paint film was more than one thousand. This value is much higher than the thickness of the original paint. It can be judged that this is caused by the repair of the sheet metal after the car has been scratched.
