The plastic light transmittance meter is also known as the diffuse transmission principle light transmittance tester. The diffuse transmission principle is mainly applied to the test of optical density and light transmittance of film, photographic film, matte surface, translucent material, film. Due to the wide application industry, the relevant departments of the state have made relevant regulations on the diffuse transmission principle of the light transmittance meter.
The plastic light transmittance meter is usually composed of a light source system, a filter, a photo detector, a display. The "Diffuse Transmission Principle Verification Procedure" has technical requirements for the plastic light transmittance meter. Details as follows:

LS117 light transmittance meter

1.Appearance requirements of plastic light transmittance meter: The instrument needs to have the name, number, manufacturer and factory time. The instrument works smoothly, the screen display is clear and the cable plug-in is in good contact.
2.Material requirements: plastic light transmittance meter must have a professional working density film (light color film base and blue film base).
3.Zero drift and repeatability. Zero drift of plastic light transmittance meter does not exceed ± 0.01, repeatability is not greater than 0.01.
4.Indication error, the indication error of plastic light transmittance meter should not exceed ±0.02
The "Diffuse Transmission Principle Verification Procedure" specifies the geometric conditions for standard diffuse transmission measurements:
When a beam of illumination light is passed through the composite of the substrate and the image, a directional detector is used for the measurement. This optical path is called the diffuse incidence mode and the optical path using directional illumination and diffuse detection is called the diffuse exit mode. The "Diffuse Transmission Principle Verification Procedure" stipulates that these geometric modes can be described by a prescribed diffusion profile, which belongs to the angular distribution of the radiance. The density measured using the above geometric mode is called the diffuse density. Specifically as shown below:
The technical requirements and measurement geometry of the diffuse light transmittance meter are specified in the Chinese National Regulations for Diffuse Transmission Principles. Therefore, a good plastic light transmittance meter is sure to meet these requirements and standards, we hope the above relevant procedures can be helpful to the majority of users.
