Things you need to know when using Linshang Gloss Meter
The Linshang gloss meter is used to measure the glossiness of various materials, such as automotive paints, coatings, ceramics, inks, plastics, marble, paper, leather, metal, etc. The meter is applied widely in many industries.
Now take the Linshang LS192 gloss meter as an example to explain common problems and common usage errors during use.
First, common use errors
1: Measurement under strong light
As long as it is an optical instrument, it is necessary to avoid the influence of external light as much as possible. When stray light enters the gloss meter through the contact surface of the meter and the sample to be tested, stray light will affect the measurement accuracy.
2: Light leakage causes measurement deviation when measuring an object
When measuring, the surface of the test sample must cover the measuring hole of the meter. The measuring spot of the LS192 gloss meter is 9mm*15mm. The sample must be larger than the area of the measuring spot and the test surface must be flat.
3: Measurement in an environment where the temperature changes drastically
From a lower temperature to a higher temperature, or from a high temperature to a low temperature environment, leave the meter for a while before measuring. First, because the optical lens will fog from the low temperature to the high temperature. Second, because of the temperature compensation function of the instrument, the compensation effect is best when the internal and ambient temperature of the instrument are basically balanced.
4: Clean the standard board with ordinary paper towels and cloth
Standard boards are required to be clean, and general paper towels and fabrics do not meet the cleanliness requirements of standard boards.
You must use a special lens cloth to wipe the standard board, or use advanced lens paper.
Second, the list of frequently asked questions
1: What kind of power is used in the gloss meter?
A: It is a lithium rechargeable battery 14500, fully charged at one time than it can be used continuously for more than 50 hours.
2: In the process of automatic calibration, can you judge whether there is any problem with the standard board?
Answer: The instrument has self-test function, such as standard board fouling and scratching.
3: Is the test data accurate?
A: Each meter can pass the national measurement and can be compared with the BYK test data.
4: Can the gloss meter be automatically calibrated?
A: Put the meter into the base and turn it on with automatic calibration.
5: Is there an error compensation function?
A: Yes, constant current source and temperature compensation circuit, light source stability is an important guarantee for instrument measurement stability.
6: What values are automatically counted?
A: The measured real-time values, the maximum, minimum, average and standard deviations of the statistics can be displayed simultaneously.
7: Is it necessary to calibrate the meter with the standard board before each measurement?
A: Not every time you have to calibrate, the instrument has a compensation function to ensure long-term stability.
8: How to keep the instrument when not in use?
A: Put it in the “base” to protect the standard board and protect the optical lens from dust and scratches.
